FAMOUS AIRCRAFT
"Spirit of St. Louis"
was the first aircraft to be flown solo across the Atlantic, from New York to
Paris in 1927, making a hero and celebrity of its pilot, Charles Lindbergh

FAMOUS AIRPORTS
LAX is one of the busiest airports in the world, serving the Los Angeles area. Here, Air
Force One departs for Washington D.C.
|
|

FAMOUS EVENTS
Dismayed at the lack of any flying events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Air Force, on
5th April 1968 Flt. Lt. Alan Pollock flew his Hawker Hunter down the Thames and through Tower
Bridge. For this brave bit of flying, and he was drummed out of the RAF. |

STUNNING SCENERY
The airport near Sogndal in Norway is easy enough to land at - the pilot just needs to be
aware of the 1500 foot (500m) drop on three sides of the airport!
|
|

CLASSIC WARPLANES
The Supermarine Spitfire is the classic single piston-engined fighter, which achieved immortality in the
Battle of Britain and on through the rest of World War II. |
 |
 |

MODERN WARBIRDS
The
Fairchild A-10 is probably the world's most formidable ground attack aircraft, with a nose-mounted cannon, the ability
to carry a vast range of external stores, and a fuselage designed to absorb lots of punishment.

MY FIRST FLIGHT
The small aircraft made by the Cessna company have been the starting place for many pilots - would you like
a Sim-Pix print to commemorate your first solo? |
 |
 |

FICTIONAL FLIGHT
As Sim-Pix prints come from the virtual world, you can alter reality too - how about the
Space Shuttle landing at your local airport, or a shot of an aircraft that never
flew in real life - here a BAC TSR.2 flies a training sortie over the Scottish Highlands! |
|

FUTURISTIC FLIGHT Your print can show any aircraft you want -
here is the Space Shuttle heading for Kennedy Space Center - but your print
could show it landing at your local airport! |
 |
 |

PLAN PRINTS
We can also do prints of the aircraft alone, with no background - here is an example of
a plan print of an Avro Vulcan, with added text and squadron badge. |
|

PROFILE PRINTS Another example of the Vulcan, complete with
"pencil remarque" in the margin. |
 |
 |

HISTORIC MOMENTS
Capture the magic of the moment, even long after it has
passed! Here, Concorde returns to its "home" at Filton near the Severn Bridges. |
|

VINTAGE MOMENTS Long before Concorde, the HP.42 maintained
Britain's overseas air services to destinations including Egypt as shown in this
period print. |
 |
 |

TASTY TWIN The Beech 18 is a typical small twin-engined
aircraft, seen here on a sightseeing trip in the Mediterranean. |
|

MORE WARBIRDS The F-18 Hornet is a formidable aircraft, seen
here on patrol over Afghanistan. |
 |
 |

MORE WARBIRDS
Once a potential adversary to the F-18, the Su-27 is a
Russian high-performance aircraft. |
